Ngong Ping 360 is one of Hong Kong's must-see attractions. Located on Lantau Island, it includes an incredible cable car journey and the culturally themed Ngong Ping Village

• From Kowloon Hotel, walk to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station and take West Rail Line to Nam Cheong Station. From there, transfer to Tung Chung Line to get off at Tung Chung Station. Here, walk about 5 minutes you will reach Ngong Ping Cable Car Tung Chung Station.
• The journey on the cable car offers visitors some of the best views of Hong Kong and the South China Sea on a clear day, so be sure to schedule this day trip in your itinerary somewhere along the way.
• The Ngong Ping village itself is really only established to cater to tourists – but the advantage of this is that you aren't too far from your local Starbucks or 7/11 to make a quick pit stop for a bite to eat.

The famous Big Buddha is a large bronze statue of a Buddha Lantau Island. It symbolizes for the harmonious relationship between human beings and nature.

• Being on Lantau Island, it’s a must to try to climb climb the stairs to reach the top of the hill. You’ll feel like you’ve achieved something after climbing the 268 steps to reach the foot of the Giant Buddha.
• You can optionally purchase a ticket which includes a vegetarian lunch and exhibition center entrance fee at the ticket counter below the Buddha statue.
• The best time to visit the Big Buddha should be in the morning. Because, the afternoon sun fall behind the Big Buddha, making it difficult to take good photos from the front.
• You should check the weather forecast before leaving for the day, as the cable bar will not operate through high winds and fog will impair your view of the bronze Buddha.

Po Lin Monastery located on Ngong Ping Plateau is founded in 1906 by three monks. It’s a nice peaceful break in Hong Kong.

• At the end of this park near the monastery, there is an area marked for incense burning . Various souvenir shops outside the monastery sell various sizes of incense sticks to offer as a prayer to the Lord Buddha.
• If you visit the Ngong Ping Village, you should beware that since this village is basically developed as a thematic village to attract the tourists, prices at the various shops selling from chopsticks to Kebabs and Coffees are really at the higher end.

Wisdom Path traces a series of 38 wooden steles containing verses from the centuries-old Heart Sutra; one of the world’s best-known prayers.

• It's better wear a T-shirt with jacket so that you could take off when you reach the top. And make sure you wear comfortable shoes as you need to walk quite a distance + climbing.
