Hedong Rd, Qianjin District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan 801
The Love River Kaohsiung is the focal point of the city, running from the South of the city up to the North. The river itself is stunning and peaceful
It's unique bridge that offers plenty of great spots for nice photos
There are also lots of sightseeing cruises at night.
This place is beautiful both during the day and at the night time!! You can walk and when you get tired, there are benches to sit and talk with your fiends, read a book, or eat something along the river.
There are many bars and cafe along the way
You should go on a boat ride in the evening and it is very romantic to ride on the boat with such historic housings and buildings at both sides of the river.
You can walk by the Lover river or maybe to rent a bike to see this city.
The Old British Consulate displays unique, old British colonial style architecture. It is now the most antique western building preserved in Taiwan which is also listed as the second-class historic spot.
Need to walk up lots of stairs as bus stop can reach hill top entrance
There are two ways to go up, the stairs go up to the temple (on the west) is a lot easier than the one going scenic walk (景觀步道) (on the east)
After a long walk about a number of stairs you are greeted by a brightly coloured temple next to the British Consulate.
It's a good place to watch the sunset.
The residence building constructed in red bricks is very eye-catching and thus has become popular background for photo-taking.
Recommended if you love history, architecture, great scenic view and British style.
There is a nice restaurant on site that serves delicious western cuisine and is a great way to spend an evening or afternoon.
There are several other attractions and viewpoints immediately adjacent to this site.
