The Japanese Covered Bridge or Cau Chua Pagoda (in Vietnamese "Cau Nhat Ban") is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hoi An, Vietnam.
As a method of crowd control and revenue generation, you must now purchase a $5 USD ticket at one of many kiosks all around Hoi An to access specific sights in old town. These include museums, historic houses, congregation halls, and traditional performances. You also need the ticket to access the famous Japanese covered bridge. I used the ticket to see the old Tan Ky House, the Chinese Meeting Hall, as well as the Hoi An Museum of History.

Hoi An market is a very interesting destination for tourists especially the food court with its many popular dishes and specialties of the old town
The food we had was normally very good and cheap and while the owners don't speak much English they have menus in English and you can point. A lot of then do little buffets in addition to selling individual dishes such as cau lau.
The spice shops are also amazing with the heavily fragrant scents from the aromatic herbs and Indian & Asian spices. I wished I had a little more time without being pestered to explore them.

I had my feet measured up for a pair of sandles, Even the kids got in on the act as they had some shoes custom made for them. They had their feet measured, then got to pick the style, pattern and color of the shoes. We returned in a few days to pick them up. It was a lot of fun for them.

The theatre, which offers live performances of Vietnamese folk music and folk dance, is located on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street.
We timed our trip to the Hoi An Traditional Art house in order to attend a traditional music performance. If you go, get there early, as it’s popular with local as well as foreign tourists, grab a stool and start a front row close to the stage. They might shift you farther away, but you will still be in the front row and sitting down.
