1. Changi airport and Singaporean transportation:

Changi airport is located in the western part of Singapore which is 20 km away from the city center.

The transportation is Singapore is one of the most modern and convenient transport systems all over the world. You can easily move from this place to another with MRT, buses and taxis.

For public transport, Ez Link cards are used to pay fee. You also can use money but please remember to bring the exact amount as no change is given back.

2. Train:

Operating hours:

5:20 a.m with the last train at 11:15 from Changi airport and 11:51 from Central Hall.

Note:

The Changi MRT station is located under Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. If you land at Terminal 1 or Budget Terminal, you need to proceed skytrain or airport shuttle bus. When you alight at Terminal 2, look up the guide board "Train to City" and follow the direction to MRT station to the center.

How it works:

To get to city center, you need to get on the westbound train at Tananh Merah stop and the last train connecting with that last westbound train at Tanah Merah station will leave at 11:18 p.m

The best way is to use EZ-link card which is purchased from the train stations for multiple rides.

3. Public bus:

Operating hours: 06:00 to 22:50.

Pros:

  • Cheap ticket
  • Easy to move around the city
  • No need to book in advance

Cons:

  • Long travel time. (1 hour)
  • Not really luggage friendly space.

Travellers who are older than 7 years old.

6am to 12 midnight daily

How it works:

To get to the center, take public bus 36/36 A. The bus operating hour is from 6 a.m to midnight. A ticket cost no more than $2.5. The bus stops are located at the basement of Terminal 1, 2, 3. Note that no change will be given back if you don’t give exact amount of money. Instead, EZ Link is a good choice.

4. Taxi:

Pros:

  • Easy to get off any stop
  • Cheap cost if you go with a group
  • Short travel time

Cons:

  • Expensive price if you go less than 3 people.

How it works:

  • Once you get out of the immigration board, there are taxi stands at the Arrival of each Terminal offering the taxi whose fare is between $20 to $40. Fares are metered and there is an additional airport surcharge for all trips from the airport. You are better to avoid the peak hours from 6 a.m to 9:30 a.m and between midnight.
  • On peak hours (Monday to Friday) from 6 a.m to 9:30 a.m, you need to pay an extra 25 % of the metered fare and between midnight after 6 a.m, 50% plus.
  • The CBD surcharge is $3.
  • Call-out charges are $2.30 during non-peak hours and $3.30 during peak hours.
  • Expect to pay around $12 for a 10-kilometre off-peak trip.
  • If you go with kids when waiting for taxi, there is a separate lane for you and your kids.

5. Limousine and large taxi:

If you are looking another luxurious option for groups, Limousine and large taxi are the best choice.

Fares:

  • 4-seater limousine: $55.00*/ 1 departure from airport
  • 7-seater large taxi - $60.00*/ 1 departure from airport
  • *Top up $15.00/ 1 additional stop
