1. Hoi An Free Tour
The tours are held by local university students so that they get the opportunity to practise their English while offering tourists the chance to see some of the lesser explored parts of Hoi An.
It’s a great way of interacting with locals. You will see a lesser explored part of Hoi An which included a visit to a boat making workshop, a carpentry village, a family that makes sleeping mats, a family that makes rice noodles, and a temple. Your kids also have a chance to interact with many local children in Cam Kim kindergarden. That is so much fun.
It is 2 km away from Hoi An center. You can stop at local fish market on the way to Thanh Ha Pottery village. The complex of buildings comprised a museum, kilns and a general display area. It will soon include a cafe and shop and is due to officially open April 30 2015. The ladies making the pottery seem genuinely to enjoy showing their skills to visitors
Travel Tip: Don't haggle too much, these really are villagers trying to make a living in an area that doesn't yet see too much tourism. You can actually buy similar products in Hoi An ancient town at much cheaper prices.

Hoi An is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Vietnam but sometimes, the swarm of tourists, the heat and the bikes can get a little much. Hoi An at 7.30 in the morning is something altogether different.
You can find good spots for good pictures everywhere since during the day there are a lot of tourists and locals walking the streets. As traders begin to wake up and prepare for the day ahead, the market buzzes with activity and the town begin to come alive.
Note: Hoi An streets get extremely busy at nighttime, so they are not ideal for younger children with strollers.

However, if you don't want to spend money on that pricey restaurants, you can freely sit on the branch along riverside, drink a cup of sugarcane and simply take delight in the beauty of Hoi An ancient town during sunset.
