Yangmingshan is the national park to the north of Taipei. It's easily accessible, mountain-filled and perfect to get some fresh mountain air if you want a day out of the city.Taking buses is an option for your transportation.Once reach here,you can take a map andgrab some drinks at the Headquarters.

The highest peak in Yangmingshan is Qixingshan – also called theSeven Star Mountain, located in the centre of the park. There are well-maintained trails leading from the Headquarters to the top, whichaffordsmagnificent viewsover Taipei as well as the rest ofYangmingshan.

This unique restaurant is exactly what you think it is, a Toilet-themed dining place.

The restaurant has a bathroom decor, with colorful toilet seats and tables converted from bathtubs with aglass cover. They serve drinks in urinals and food in toilets, both the Asian-styled “squatty potty” and Western-styled ones. To complete the concept, the restroom sink is also a lavatory. In the end, you’ll come home with lots of awesome pictures, and of course, lots of laughs. Kids are gonnalove this!

Get wet and wildatTaipei Water Park

Looking for some fun to do on hot summer holiday with your kids? How about spending a day at Taipei Water Park?

At Taipei Water Park, you can enjoy slides, water rides, swimming pools together with other leisure equipment. The Taipei Water Park is open from 9 am till 10 pm during the summer– from July 1st until August 31st while other months till 6pm. Entrance tickets are sold till one hour prior to the opening hours.

Ticket sales are on the 5th floor of the Taipei 101 Shopping Mall. A fast moving elevator whisks visitors to the observation deck on the 89th floor in merely 37 seconds, making it the second fastest elevator in the world and is a must-do on any traveler's list.

The 89th floor of the Taipei 101 Tower is home to the indoor observation deck, which is equipped with huge floor to ceiling windows that allow you to view all of Taipei from 360 degrees around. Don't miss the massive gold-colored iron wind damper that keeps the tower stable from experiencing the unfortunate effects of wind vibration.

From the 89th-floor observation deck, you can get to the 91st floor by way of a flight of stairs, but thisis only allowed on certain days when the weather is excellent.When it is open, you can stand outside and enjoythe spectacular view of Taipei with thewindblowingover your face. It is also possible to see the Taipei 101 Tower's fantastic spire up close from this outdoor observation deck.

This is a great destination for a family outing, as Taipei Zoo makes an effort to integrate educational zoological elements into the visitors' experience. Children can read up about the animals at each habitat, watch a presentation given at the zoo or visit the educational centre. Taking a break in the fern garden or lazing on the lawns, surrounded by exotic animals, absolutely makes for a memorable lunch. At the middle of the Zoo, there is a store that sells really good milk-flavored ice cream and hotdogs. You gotta try them.

Note:Make sure your camera is fully charged, as well asbring an extra battery alongif possible, as it can be a long day with tons and tons of moments to capture.
