2. How to travel from Legoland to Singapore

2.1. By Public Bus

If you don't mind spending much time than usual, it should be the way you choose.

What we like:

No need to book in advance. The yellow bus "Causeway Express" starts their journey in 7 different stations around Singapore. You can easily get one for your trip.

What we don't like:

It's a little bit tiring, especially when you go on holiday or peak season. You may wait at the immigration for 2 up to 4 hours because you have to get off the vehicle with all personal stuff at both Singapore and Malaysia checkpoints

Price: About S$ 6 / 1 way.

Who's it for:

Families with older kids on a small budget.

+ How it works:

From Jurong East and Boon Lay — transfer at CIQ Interlink (in Malaysia).

At Jurong East Bus Exchange:

  • Get on CW3 or CW4 bus (S$ 4) to get through the Tuas Checkpoint. Then, get off at the CIQ interlink.
  • Operating hours: 7:10 am – 11:45 pm (Mon-Fri), and 7:30 am – 11:45 pm on weekends.

From Boon Lay:

  • Get on CW 6 (S$ 4) to get through the Tuas Checkpoint. Then, get off at the CIQ interlink.

Operating hours: 7:10am – 11:45pm (Mon-Fri), and 7:30am – 11:45pm on weekends.

When you reach CIQ Interlink, get to another bus:

  • Bus JP02 (RM6 / S$ 2.50) for weekdays.

Operating our: every three hours only at 8:30am, 11:30am, 2:30pm, and 5:30pm.

  • Bus Sl1 ((RM2 / S$ .78) ) for weekend and public holidays.

Operating hours: 9am, 10:30am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 3pm, 4:30pm, 6pm, 7:30pm.

Legoland is the first stop.

2.2. By private transport

What we like:

Faster than the public bus. From a designated stop in Singapore, you are dropped at Legoland Malaysia.

What we don't like:

It's more costly and the designated departure requires a credit card or Paypal to book. You have to go through customs in Singapore and Malaysia. Sometimes, Legoland ticket reservation is required.

Price: S$ 20-56/1 person

Who's it for:

It's quite suitable for people older than 7 and able to sit on a bus more than 2 hours.

Departure spot: Singapore Flyer.
Opening hours: From 8:39 to 10:30 a.m and return from 4:15 p.m to 6:45 p.m
Price list:

  • S$20 – S$25/ 1 person (2 ways)
  • S$ 53 – S$ 58 ( 2 ways + water park ticket)
  • S$63 – S$68 (2-way bus + LEGOLAND Park entrance)
  • S$73 – S$ 78 (bus, waterpark, and LEGOLAND park entrance)

You can book at www.wtstravel.com.sg.

2.3. By taxi:

You can enter or leave Singapore with taxi but normal taxis are not permitted to across the border. You need to take a cross-border taxi to get to Legoland Malaysia from Singapore.

What we like:

No need to get off the vehicle to clear customs or bring heavy bags. You can’t get off at the place you want.

What we don’t like:

Go directly from one spot in Singapore to another in Malaysia.

Price: S$ 10/1 person (shared taxi) or S$ 40/ 1 vehicle, Singapore to Johor Bahru. Return way may cost you RM 15 per person (Shared taxi) or RM 60 per vehicle with an extra charge for a stop. You may need to pay fee for a second taxi from Kotaraya Taxi Stand to Legoland.
Phone Number: +65 6296 7054 or come over the Kotaraya Taxi Terminal on Queen Street in Singapore.

If you are in Malaysia, call +60 7222 5859 or +60 7 224 6986.

What we like:

You will be picked right at your house and dropped at Legoland Malaysia. No need to alight the vehicle for customs or bring heavy bags. Luxurious vehicles as Mercedes E-class are available for those who are on demand.

What we don’t like:

Super expensive.

From 170 to 320 depending on what type of the car is. Every 10 minutes of waiting is $S 10

Who's it for:

For people of all ages who don't mind splashing money.

What we like:

Shortest travel time within 45 to 90 minutes. You are picked up at your door and dropped right at Legoland Malaysia. No need to get off the vehicle and clear customs. The more people you go with, the cheaper it is.

What we don’t like:

If you go in a group of 3 or less, it's a little bit costly.

Price: S$ 80 to S$ 120/ trip (up to 7 pax)

Who's it for:

Families with young children and those who don't want to waste much time of transportation.

If you go by yourself: The public bus is a good choice for its cheap price if you don’t mind waiting for 3 hours to Legoland. If you are not budget conscious, package tour or private bus are also ideal suggestions.

If you go with a group: Don’t mind calling a taxi, MPV private car transportation service is highly recommended.

For family and kids: Taxi is the best option as you don’t need to alert at immigrations and wait for a long time. You also can book tour including the Legoland entrance tickets if you are in need.
