3. Some tips for those who want to use motorbike transporting service:

3.1 Tips before have your motorbike transported:

You ought to make a phone booking in advance because baggage and goods compartment are always out of space. You can consult these experiences below:

3.1.1 Choose the suitable bus company

It's not every bus company offers motorbike transporting service so that you have to make a phone call to make sure they offer this service or not. If they do offer this service then you have to make a deal about the price with them. This part is really important especially in some national holidays and big vacations because each goods compartment of a tourist bus only has enough space for from 2-4 motorbike.

3. 1.2. Prepare needed documents

If you and your motorbike are transported on a same bus, all things you have to do is just take your motorbike registration papers with you. In case you and your motorbike are transported on two different buses, you have to give your motorbike registration papers to the driver. If you don't give it to the driver, your motorbike may be or may be not refused to be transported. However, your motorbike may get mishap by inspection of traffic police.

3.1. 3. Unbinding your motorbike rear-mirror and wrap the fragile parts.

You should unbind two rear-mirrors of your motorbike and put it in you backpack to prevent it from breaking and you ought to prepare some pieces of cloth to cover the fragile parts of your motorbike like front fairing, headlight, side fairing...etc.

3.1.4. Do not have your motorbike been full of gasoline before transporting it.

Before transporting your motorbike, the service owner will discharge all of gasoline in your motorbike to guarantee the conveyance process' safety. Therefore, you have to make sure that there is not much gasoline in your motorbike in the day you take your departure. Or you can discharge the gasoline by yourself before have your motorbike transported. You can use a long pipe and a empty bottle to discharge gasoline. First of all, you put one end in the petrol tank and the other to the empty bottle. In the next step, holding the orifice bottle tightly by your left hand while you right hand crushing the bottle with fingers to create a force to pull gasoline from petrol tank down to the bottle. Remember to hold the bottle at a lower position than petrol tank's position.

3.2.Tip for those who rent motorbike in Ha Giang

The price of renting motorbike in Ha Giang is from 200.000-300.000vnd. I would like to recommend some good shops offering motorbike renting service.

3.3. Tip for traveling to Ha Giang by motorbike:

You have to ask the motorbike renting service owner to get fueled up to avoid buying vender’s gasoline because gas stations in Ha Giang are usually close until 6 or 7a.m. Tourist bus will arrive to Ha Giang quite early in the morning (about at 4a.m or 5a.m) so you should ask the renting motorbike service owner whether which bus company will park nearly their shop so that you can take the motorbike as convenient as possible. In case there is no bus parks nearly their shop, they will deliver the motorbike to your own hand at the bus stop. You have to take the notarized ID card or passport with you to leave it as a deposit on a motorbike and you also need the ID card when passing border gate.

Where can you rent a motorbike?

  1. You can call Phon Tooc directly. Tel: +84162 995 2252 or 0914.557.024. Address: 19/5 st, Nguyễn Trãi precinct, Hà Giang

  • Tel: 0986.03.04.05 – 0125.515.5568 – 0915.273.882

3.4. Tips for renting motorbike in Ha Giang:

  • You have to choose a motorbike not a scooter such as: Honda Taurus, Sirius Rc. Because there are many hazardous stretch of road on the way up to Ha Giang. Moreover, you have to check out carefully the braking system as well as the gear.
