We were surprised to find we were able to get a table straight away. There seem to be many floors to this restaurant. The waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered the famous goose, the highly recommended beef brisket and fried rice. My husband thought this was the best meal he had while we were in Hong Kong. I can see why he thought so, but personally, I enjoyed it but didn't love it as much as he did. The goose was tasty, but not as good as I remembered goose to be in Hong Kong. That could just be my tastes changing though. The initial taste of the beef brisket was honestly like the smell of farm animals. This unpleasant flavour only lingered for the first 2 seconds in my mouth, and then disintegrated into delicious beef flavours. It was so soft and had something like tendons in the meat that made it very tender. I did enjoy this dish, after I had to shut my eyes for the first 2 seconds of each new piece. My husband also loved the beef brisket and said it was the best he's ever had (he didn't get the farm animal flavour like I did) The fried rice was harder than normal. I know some people (like husband) enjoy this texture, however, I'm not a huge fan. It was pleasant enough, but again nothing special. Visited April 2015
We were told this restaurant was very good for their roast goose so we went to have a meal. We ordered a portion of roast goose, char siew , Siew Yoke, hainanese chicken, century egg and noodles. The tatse here is quite different from Malaysia as the Siew Yoke Roast Goose & Roast Chicken skin were not so crispy. Service was very good & the staff attended to our needs.
Can find good roast meats and one of the easier roast meat places to find. Try to get a table in the first or second floor because the menu gets more expensive in the higher floors!
