This place is reknowned for traditional desserts and lotus seeds and boiled eggs are popular ingredients. We truly enjoyed the Mulberry mistletoe tea with lotus seeds and boiled egg. A delicious and healthy dessert. The taste was very good and the lotus seeds were perfectly cooked. We also had the egg sponge cake which is wholly made of eggs. We reordered both desserts. All liquid desserts are served warm only as per tradition. We also enjoyed the sesame paste. The nearest MTR station is Sai. Ying Pun, exit A1.The nearest tram stop is 86W,Western Street on the west bound tram to Kennedy Town.

This is a more old school hong kong dessert shop. Such shops are getting rare these days, and as a fan of traditional cantonese dessert, I had to make a trip there. Words are all in Chinese, which makes it hard for those who can't read. But no worries. Just look around and see what others are eating, and point to the waiter. After all, all the desserts are good. So no worries.

The best traditional Chinese dessert shop of over 100 years in history. Yummilicious of their egg custard cake & almond dessert is my favourites.

Yuen Kee Dessert is famous for it's 桑寄生蓮子蛋茶 Parasitic Loranthus & Lotus Seed Egg Tea. I know for "Westerner", it is hard to believe it is a dessert. I never really like it until I am older and wiser. I love all the dessert that Yuen Kee offers as I too believe that food should not only taste good but should have health benefit too. And if you are not into herbal dessert, there are also other choices here too especially if you enjoy traditional Chinese dessert. I would go out of my way every time when I am in town at least once to have some of the dessert here. Now it kind of become a ritual for me!
