I've been practising yoga with Oskar and Alison for three months now, since I moved to Phnom Penh. I came from a Bikram background and while at first I thought I was going to end up missing my Bikram practise (I like my yoga practise to be quite physical), this hasn't been the case. I feel challenged by the regular Sweat and Samadhi classes Alison and Oskar offer, and I enjoy the emphasis placed on the meditative aspect as well as the physical aspect.I really love the fact that I can always ask yoga questions during class, and I love that both teachers play background music during classes...it enhances the flow. Alison and Oskar are both incredibly strong and graceful yogis, yet both very humble, and they always bring humour to their classes at the right moments.I also think it is very professional that they ask all students, at the beginning of every class, if anyone has any illnesses or injuries that they need to be aware of. They also provide clean drinking water and glasses, and always encourage students to drink during and after class. The space they have created for yoga practice in their home is peaceful and inviting, with wooden floors, ample fans, and the sound of the rain on the roof now that we are in monsoon season. They kindly supply all mats, wooden blocks, and other equipment, and small towels too. They also allow those who practise at lunch time to use their shower in case you have to head back to work afterwards (but bring your own towel for this). This studio also seems to attract a lovely bunch of people - a real bonus when you are new in town and looking to make new friends.I feel my practise has deepened since I began practising at Phnom Penh Yoga, and will continue to do so. I've just put my name down for a very reasonably priced 3-day yoga retreat in the Cambodian countryside with these guys in September, and I can't wait!

Great venue & excellent teachers.Visited twice as I passed through Phnom Penh.A little tricky to find, but worth the effort if you're in need of some yoga!

the setting, garden, studio are clean and in a great old cambodian house. teachers will work you so you feel it in the morning, but so attentive to each study and range of skill, offering variations in a non judgmental way. i've learned a lot about yoga from the teachers, and have really improved as a result.
