This site is overlooked by a very interesting village, which is best visited on market day. Here, Naxi people sell and buy farmed or home made produce. There is also Naxi music played in an old assembly hall. The Long March monument and museum currently under renovation also look interesting. Very authentic.

We climbed the hill in front of the river to reach the top of the hill where we overlooked the river. Took some really nice shots from the top. We had to pay a small fee to the owner of the inn as the trek started from his land. It took us about 15 minutes to hike up the hill and we had a really nice view of the first bend of the Yangtze. Here the river makes a 90 deg turn from South to East. It is also here that a number of military armies crossed, Zhuge Liang's army, Kublai Khan's army and the red Army crossed here during their long march.
