Tips for you
Wulai is a hot spring resort/village. You can soak on the hotspring for a price or you can visit a public one for free. Walking a little bit up you will find a waterfall, the experience is priceless. If you wanted to see a three-level waterfall, you have to travel a little bit far from there by taxi.Experience
“Wulai a wonderful place ot visit !!!” It 's not easy to go Wulai but nonetheless i still give very good rating simply because it's worth to visit and i definitely will come back again albeit for some other different reason which is my privacy LOL. To go there FIRST travel with public transport until Xindian , from there take a bus to Wulai. The best way of traveling is to use " you you card " which u can get it from any 7-11 shop. The whole trip altogether will takes around 50 minutes BUT soon the patience will pay off handsomely !!! Once u reach Wulai with a walking distance takes about 7-8 minutes u will see wulai old street. This place for locals is famous NOT for waterfall / cable car but for spas. After wandering around the street cross the bridge and you will come across the mini train station on the hill. Walk through the staircase for 5 minutes u will see the station, get yourself a ticket and move on.....albeit the mini train is old it moves fast as u would have imagine like the old days in amusement park LOL. It takes only 7-8 minutes to reach the waterfall. Is this a must to take this mini train ? the answer is NO , u can walk but it is very time consuming !!! once u reach there , the waterfall is in front of u. it's amazing as it looks very natural compares to the Shifen waterfall. There are different views & debates on this as some argues this waterfall cant be approach BUT i personally lean against Wulai waterfall. Shifen waterfall looks FAKE for me .....there is some nice coffee shop in front of it whereby u can sit down taking photo's & having some tea time. There is also a shop selling souvenirs which is guarded by 2 aboriginal ladies.....and one of the reason i wanna come back to this place is purely because of them. They are nice & friendly. From there u can take a cable car to go to another tourist attraction by taking on cable car. However that place is deserted so i will NOT recommend folks to go there..... one thing i MUST remind folks is the timing of leaving with mini-train unless u intend to stay there overnight, u MUST leave there before 4pm to catch their LAST mini-train. If u do miss the mini-train then u will have tough time but to walk down the hill unless u order a cab !!!
