Why WOODY is special ?
WOODY is the nice cafe with the warm environment. The atmosphere was great, wood design with Toy Story flair. For Pre-Christmas time, they will play Christmas songs to get you in the right mood. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the food was great. This cafe is famous for sake, the Japanese traditional alcohol, and some great food such as hamburger, fried beef, pork ball and so on.
The seats and table are made from natural wood and the floor is just pebbles. It is the unique place which you should miss.

Tips for you
We saw this little place on the way to the Hakone Open Air Museum. It is literally half way between the train station and the museum entrance, and it looks like a funky cowboy bar with some beat up Toy Story dolls outside. When we were done with the museum (and after peering into the not-very-attractive museum cafeteria) we tried to find a place to eat. Like other reviewers, I was led back here by the promising TripAdvisor comments. Well, I was not disappointed. The place is tiny, quirky and delicious, and cheap to boot (after a couple of weeks in Japan, you REALLY appreciate cheap). There's maybe 5 tables inside, with a cobblestone floor and furniture that looks like chunks of wood wrangled into a piece of furniture. And of course, Toy Story dolls everywhere (it IS Woody's Cafe after all). There's a surprisingly extensive bar (toy cowboys like their booze) and the draft beer is tall and frosty. Service is efficient, although theplace was empty when we came in - can't speak to how they handle a full place. The staff speaks some English, and they make up their missing English with smiles. Also, there's free wifi (password: WELOVEWOODY) The menu is short, but very tasty and you are kind of amazed such food can come from the tiniest of kitchens. The "hamburg" steak looked good (yes, the menu has pictures) but our entire group had either of their hamburgers. Hands down, one of the best burgers we have had - juicy, filling and with very interesting toppings. The fries were also really good, although the portion was kinda small. You may have to double up on the fries order if you are coming in with a big appetite. All in all - the Hakone loop can be really exhausting - but Woody's makes for a great and unexpected pitstop.
Amazing place, cool interior design, good music, tasty food, best fries ever
