One could spend a lifetime here (or perhaps the afterlife) and only explore a small portion. I once went down from the Midosuji subway, and when I emerged, I was at Kansai airport. (OK, not really.) However, it is possible to go all the way from Doyama district almost to Yodoyabashi station (where a new underground starts up), pretty much only interrupted by a branch of the Yoda river delta. Many small shops and restaurants for all tastes to complement the more formal department stores overhead, if you can't find the trinket or item of clothing or lotion or potion, it can't be found. Kiddyland to amuse the kiddies. Food and drink for all tastes. Not super AC, but a good way to avoid the sun and most of Osaka's summer heat and humidity. And when it's time to leave, trains and subway's readily at hand at western Japan's busiest station.
