Why Wat Sampov Pram is special ?

Wat Sampove Pram:“Wat Sampov Pram” or “5 boats Wat” came from the five oddly-sculpted rocks nearby resembled boats. The five oddly shaped rocks near the Wat gave the pagoda its name. The beautiful legend of the boats will be told by resort expert guide.

Also, "WatSampov Pram" is regarded as the highest Buddha pagodas in Cambodia as it is located on the 1,075 metres high mountain.

We stumbled upon this charming old pagoda by complete chance. A friend of mine was visiting from Germany and he had heard about the old French Casino on top of Bokor Mountain, so we wanted to go see it. I wanted to go because I hadn't driven a car in such a long time and it would finally give me an excuse to rent a car in Kampot. We enjoyed the drive up Bokor Mountain with sharp winding bends in the road and the stunning view of the Kampot coastline on one side and the green mountainside on the other. I imagine making the trip on a motorbike will be a lot more exciting. After visiting the old French Casion, on the drive back to Kampot, I took a wrong turn and we ended up on a small road that led us to Wat Sampov Pram, a charming little mountain temple. The monks, as always, made everyone feel welcome and we were lucky to attend a chanting and meditation session. We met a family at the pagoda who told us they visited the pagoda the year before during the rainy season and there was so much mist surrounding the mountain, they hardly saw anything. We were there in February and it was a beautiful clear day, so I imagine visiting the temple during the dry season (November-May) might be better.
