What to explore at Vung Tau Past and Present?
DAY 1: SAIGON TO VUNG TAU
Our guide & bus driver pick you up at Tan Son Nhat air port, depart for a 2.5 hour drive on National Express Highway towards Ba Ria – Vung Tau( used to be Phuoc Tuy province). Arrive at Vung Tau city. Check in hotel. Your free time. Stay overnight in Vung Tau.

DAY 2: VUNG TAU TO LONG TAN TO NUI DAT
Breakfast at your hotel. 8:30am Driving to the city centre to visit the OLD FLAG area & down to Back beach, the longest of the peninsula's beaches. Spend time walking along the beachside area, adjacent to the former Australian wartime base (1 ALSG The Australian Logistic Support Group, although nothing remains today).
Head to the Ba Ria Orphanage built in 1994 by the AVVRG (The Australian Veterans Vietnam Reconstruction Group). It might be a good idea to bring some clothes, stationary or food supplies for the children. Visit a village in Hoa Long where rice paper is still produced by hand. There is an opportunity to interact with the locals to get a glimpse of their daily life. Have lunch with local food called Bánh Hỏi at Long Dien village.
Drive to Long Hai hill to visit Minh Dam secret zone on the top of the hill. Enjoy fresh air & look over to Long Phuoc Hai fishing village, & Dat Do village .Veterans at Long Hai hill
Return to your hotel. Stay in Vung Tau for the night.

DAY 3: VUNG TAU TO LONG TAN- NUI DAT- BINH BA- SAIGON
After breakfast, check out of your hotel.
9:00am drive to the former 1st Australian Task Force Base at Nui Dat, which is now just a clearing surrounded by rubber plantations.
Visit the old Artillery’s rocks, old bunkers,
Kangaroo pad, SAS hill( Nui Dat hill), Lusbcome air field and the battalion’s Flag pole.
Visit Digger cafe which owns by Australian guy to see his collection of units he has been collecting around Nui Dat area.
Continue to visit other historic landmarks including Long Tan battlefield and the Long Tan Memorial Cross, located in the tranquil surrounds of the rubber plantations. Take a moment to reflect on the Battle of Long Tan in 1966, arguably the most famous battle fought by the Australian Army during the Vietnam War. Finish your tour with a visit to Horseshoe Hill, a strategic observation out post established by the Australian forces. Nowadays, visitors are not allowed to access it, but it is possible to see from afar.
Visit Long Phuoc tunnel. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
Our guide will show you Binh Ba village & mermorial before returning to Vung Tau to take a ferry to HCMC. Ferry departs at 16:30pm. Arrive at 18:00pm. End of services.
