Why Universal Studios Singapore is special ?

Visit the most popular tourist attraction in Singapore, the one attraction that is in every Singapore tour package - Universal Studios Singapore (USS) in Resorts World Sentosa, Southeast Asia’s first Universal Studios theme park, featuring rides and attractions from box-office hits such as “Shrek” and “Madagascar”. The 20-hectare (50-acre) park has 7 different movie-themed zones:

What to explore at Universal Studios Singapore?

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Zone 1 - Hollywood,

This is at the entrance of Universal Studios Singapore. The Monster Rock Show at Pantages Hollywood Theatre, a 1500-seat indoor theatre fully equipped to host major Broadway musicals with cutting-edge cinematic technology, is a 15 miniute mega-monster spooktacular show featuring vocalists inspired by famous monster characters such as Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy. These monsters are bought to life by Dr Jekyll, a computer whiz who is also a fan of rock 'n roll. He leads the group through rock and pop themed songs. The music, dancing, comedy, special effects and pyrotechnics are more than enough to wake the dead.

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Zone 2 - New York

Here, visitors can catch the special effects show, Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Speilberg. In the short pre-show, Steven Speilberg gives a briefing on screen about movie special effects. Next, visitors walk to a stage to watch the filming of a scene inside a boathouse while a Category 5 hurricane hits New York City. The show climaxes when the ceilings, walls and fuel tanks collapse and catch fire

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Zone 3 - Sci-Fi City

Home to the 2 most popular rides in Universal Studios Singapore: the next-generation motion based 3D thrill ride, Transformers: The Ride and the world's tallest dueling roller coaster, Battlestar Galactica. There is also Accelerator, a spinner ride.

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Zone 4 - Ancient Egypt

The popular indoor roller coaster, Revenge of the Mummy, is found here. Prepare to be lurched sharply both forward and back in pitch darkness, with twists and sudden drops. Plagued on all sides by huge fireballs, swarms of scarab beetles and an army of warrior mummies, all in total darkness. Can you survive the awesome power of Imhotep’s curse or will you be entombed inside forever? This is a high speed indoor roller coaster.

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Zone 5 - The Lost World

Jurrassic Park Rapids Adventure, a thrilling river raft ride through dinosaur exhibits will make you very wet. It’s lunch time at Jurassic Park and you’re on the menu. Featuring a white water raft system with state-of-the-art animatronics and a thrilling white water drop, thrill-seekers on circular rafts will be tossed on waterways within the Jurassic Park compound, where prehistoric creatures roam free.

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Zone 6 - Far Far Away

Enter King Harold's Castle to watch the Shrek 4D film. Help save Princess Fiona in a totally in-your-face fairy tale adventure. Through the miracle of OgreVision you’ll see, hear, and actually FEEL the action right from your seat!

Join Princess Fiona, Shrek and Donkey on a honeymoon adventure that picks up where the Oscar-winning movie “Shrek” left off, through an original 3-D film, complete with jumps, bumps, bounces, air blasts and water spray that magically transforms your experience from 3D to 4D and brings the action to life for each member of the audience with an extra dimension of special effects through the miracle of OgreVision glasses.

The rides are awesome. Tried the Transformers ride. Makes you feel like you're in the movie. Was a bit dissapointed when I realised one of their popular ride (battlestar gallactica) is closed indefinitely.

Had been to USS on a weekday. Great place for kids and adults alike. My 8 year daughter enjoyed Madagascar , Jurassic park , shrek , puss in the boots and the transformers ride. The transformer rides were the best of all ( not to be missed). advise going there on a weekday to avoid the rush. There is no need to but the express tickets as if you are on time when it opens at 1000 am you will complete all the rides without any problem. there are street shows and other shows - so don't forget to get a copy of the show timings at the entrance and plan accordingly. The transformers and Jurrasic park rides were the most crowded- hence try getting on these crowd favourite rides after 5pm and it will be all empty!!!! (park closes at 7pm i guess)

Easy access via the train system, and a well maintained park. Well worth the money and time. I recommend pre-purchasing tickets online to avoid the wait when arriving.
