Why Universal Studios Japan is special ?

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) was the first theme park under the Universal Studios brand to be built in Asia. Opened in March 2001 in the Osaka Bay Area, the theme park occupies an area of 39 hectares and is the most visited amusement park in Japan after Tokyo Disney Resort. This extremely popular theme park is equivalent to the Universal Studios in Hollywood and Orlando, and features shows, rides and restaurants based on famous movie themes, like Jaws, Back to the Future and Terminator. Universal Studios Japan currently has eight sections: Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Jurassic Park, Lagoon, Waterworld, Amity Village and Universal Wonderland. Visitors are able to enjoy many amusement rides, ranging from child-friendly carousels to thrilling roller coasters and simulators, based on popular movies such as Spiderman, Back to the Future, Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park. In 2014, a Harry Potter related attraction is scheduled to be added.

What to explore at Universal Studios Japan?

Come here specifically to visit The world of Harry Potter. The kids will love so much. The Harry Potter theme section of the park was the main attraction. There is a mad rush once the park opens towards this section. Besides the wow factor of this place it holds two main rides. One is a 3D ride the other a small family roller coaster.

In addition to rides, the theme park offers many opportunities to take pictures with popular characters' mascots such as Snoopy, Hello Kitty and the puppets of Sesame Street. You can also see various shows put on every day, including a night parade featuring illuminated floats that are paraded through the streets.

Universal Studios Japan, is a great awesome park to enjoy if you get every thing right in advanced. Your not going to experience the park if you get a 3 Easy Pass or no Easy Passes like someone who got a 5 or 7 Pass. Though they may be a bit pricy, this will change your experience dramatically. Here is what each option is like; No Pass - Please, please, please, avoid this. Going in like this is suicide, as you stand in the hot sun of Japan waiting in long lines. Sure, you can go in the single rider line, but if you are a family, you won't experience it the same. Maybe you thought you could bite the bullet, but the regular lines for rides like Space Fantasy, Spider Man, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Jaws, Hollywood the Dream, and Harry Potter, can get up to 2-4 hours, especially if you go in the wrong time of year. The only reason you might want to do this is if you have really young kids, (ages 1-4) and only want to stay in Wonderland (The Kid Area) then the Easy Passes wouldn't be needed. You also need to know that if you go with this, you don't get Harry Potter entrance tickets. You can get them if you go to the front office as soon as you get in the park. 3 Easy Passes - If possible try not to get this, if 5 and 7 are available. It does not come with Harry Potter, and like No Passes, you can get them at the front desk as soon as you get in the park. Your first option is Spider Man or Space Fantasy. Both must-ride rides, choosing one is hard. If you end up choosing the 3 Pass, Whichever of the two you don't choose, go on first thing after you get your Harry Potter entrance tickets. Your second option is Hollywood Dream, Shrek, Elmo, and Jaws. Choose Hollywood Dream or Jaws. Hollywood dream if you love Roller Coasters, and Jaws if you don't. DO NOT use it for Elmo/Shrek, as those regular lines are only about ten minutes. Your Third option is Back to The Future, Terminator, and Backdraft. Choose Back to the Future, if you don't get motion sickness. Back to the Future is the best ride, and if you don't agree, The waiting line for Back to The Future is an hour at best, and the other are fifteen minuets. But when I went, My friend got motion sick from Back to the Future, and missed a few hours getting treatment. the 3 Pass doesn't give you Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and you cant get Spider Man and Space Fantasy together. If you can get a 5 or 7 Pass. 5 Easy Pass - The 5 Pass will probably be good enough, but it isn't the same as a 7 Pass. You get the Harry Potter ride, which comes with the entrance ticket. Like the 3, an option between Space Fantasy and Spider Man. (And like 3, go on the one you didn't pick strait away. You Get the option of Hollywood Dream, Shrek, and Elmo. Like I said in 3, Elmo/Shrek regular lines are 10 minutes anyway. Number 4 is Jaws and back to the Future. Both are popular rides, so I say go on the one you din't pick late at night, as many famalies will have left. Your last option is Jurassic Park, Terminator, and Backdraft. Like Hollywood the dream, Jurassic park is the only one with a long line. 5 will probably do, but not as phenomenal as the 7 Pass 7 Easy Pass - This is the best you can get. You get fast Passes for both of Harry Potter's rides. Also Spider Man, Space Fantasy, Hollywood Dream, and Jurassic Park. The only tough decision is Back to the Future and Jaws. Which ever you don't pick, use first thing in the morning. Thank You for reading all the way to the end, and I hope this helped you a lot!
