Tips for you

  • Most likely the most decorated sports bar in Asia, memorabilia from all sports, from all over the World. So that it's great place to relax in the evening with friends and family, listen to the Philippine group on their stage.
  • There is live music downstairs where you are encouraged to join in or you can just chill and have a few quiet beers watching whatever sport takes your fancy or rack up a game of pool.
    Things to do
  • They also have live Phillipino bands every friday and Saturdays. Request a song, no problem, want to sing yourself, no problem

“Top food, top people, top entertainment.” We stayed in Vung Tau, for 5 days in June 2014. It's a great place to visit, but what made it special was the friendly owners and staff at Tommy's Sports Bar . Glenn and Trang (the owners) are the friendliest people you could ever wish to meet, and while on holiday in another country, they were just what we needed after three weeks of struggling with a foreign language. Down stairs is the restaurant and Stage for entertainment, and upstairs is "THE MAN CAVE" Sports Bar. Everything you could want, for a sporting fix. Aussie rules, Rugby, V8 Supercars, Don Bradman, you name it, Glenn's got something there on the wall. And a proud supporter of the Vietnam Swans AFL club. Ladies, if you need a bit of a tidy up after some long hot Trekking, Trang is your girl. She will point you in the right direction for hair, nails, 2 hour massage etc. and give you names in Saigon for more shopping. Guys, Glenn can sort you out too, if you need your nails done or a hair cut, or perhaps just a relaxing massage. If you're in Vietnam to learn a bit about the American war, He does an excellent trip around Vung Tau, the old Nui Dat base, Long Hais, Dat Do, Horseshoe, Long Phuc tunnels, Bihn Ba and the Long green and is also very knowledgable on previous conflicts in Vietnam. They both enjoy food, so they know the good restaurants as well including an excellent Russian one. Go there and see them, talk to them, they're great. Try some Karaoke, or stay for some top bands and entertainment. Cheers Ian and Jenny.
