Why The Workshop Cafe is special ?
The Workshop, sitting quietly on the corner of busy Ngo Duc Ke street, is a quaint coffee shop inflected with the type of austere greys and cerulean blues that make the perfect backdrop for the Italian beans it brews.
Everything at the Workshop is perfectly engineered to ensure that you fully appreciate your cup of coffee. This is also the best place to find some of the most famous Italian pastas like carbonara, bolognese and aglio e olio. The atmosphere is great for working with soft music playing in the background. You can focus and escape from the Saigon madness.
Nearly every imaginable brewing method is offered here so the experienced and highly educated staff will explain the differences for you. You can have your coffee made in a siphon filter, a Chemex, or a better-than-French-press Eva Solo. This one is excellent, particularly for those who like their cup bold!

How to get to The Workshop Cafe?
Like most of the cool cafes in Saigon, to get to Workshop you’re required to hike up an old, unassuming worn out spiral staircase. The cafe is located on the top floor of the building on Ngo Duc Ke Street. You can take a taxi to get there.

Reviews
Coffee here is amazing, at least if you want western-style coffee (pourovers, cold brews, espressos) and not Vietnamese style iced coffee, which they don't have. Employees are perfect. We were messing with the charger for our ipad and a waitress ran over with an extension cord without us even having said anything to her! Really nice. Additional bonus: NO SMOKING here! Great. Only downsides is the small hard wooden stools don't seem comfortable for sitting for long periods (if you're going to be using this as a work place, which is how they advertise themselves) and the food is kind of mediocre, especially for the price. But the coffee, service, and atmosphere are absolutely perfect!
Most will recommend the coffee, but give the pressed juices a shot - the watermelon is great. This place also has a wonderfully designed open plan space with the bar in the centre.
