My wife and I booked a table here for the Valentine's Day buffet meal. We normally dine at home on Valentine's Day as we find it's the worst day of the year to eat out but as we were in HK we might as well go somewhere that's pretty special even if we found the food to be just OK. However were we in for a humongous pleasant surprise; from the moment the view hits you through to the final piece of dessert via numerous complementary glasses of free flowing NV Veuve Clicquot Brut it was one of the best dinning experiences we've ever had. Having previously eaten at Burj Al Arab & The Dome at lebua, State Tower, these sky-scrapping eateries can be a little 'style-over-substances' but that was not the case here. Not only was the food of the highest quality but no expense had been spared with the design of the menu; Foie gras, lobster, oysters gras, to name but a few of the indulgent delicacies. Without doubt the best Valentine's meal, and quite possibly the best dinning experience ever.
Sitting on 102 floor, having drinks and light meals under the beautiful chandeliers, enjoying the great view & music, what can I ask for more? :)
We just came here for drinks one night. The view is as amazing as it can get. Worth while paying 90 HKD a beer and 150 HKD for a glass of winewhich after all is only slightly more than what you pay in a regular pub in the CBD. When we visited there was some very tasteful live music (jazz/pop style), highly professional staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Very much recommended for those special nights out.
If you're looking for a cup of tea with a view , look no further than the Ritz Carlton Lounge & Bar. Situated on the 102nd floor , you get a birds eye view over Kowloon and HK Island. Service was superb (exactly what you'd come to expect from a Ritz Carlton) , and the decor sumptuous. The atmosphere was light and airy , with the piano player adding a touch of elegance to the proceedings. The china serve ware is stunning , as is the selection of delicate delights on the 3 tier afternoon tea stand. Overall a great afternoon , and good value for what you get. I much preferred this experience than the "tourist conveyor belt" you get at the famous Peninsula Hotel.Next time i think i'll stay for dinner too !
