Why The Lighthouse Marina Resort is special ?

The Lighthouse Marina Resort is a three-floor, 34-room boutique hotel capped by a lighthouse. The hotel is sleek and ultra-modern in its Palafox-designed architecture. Done in almost austere Italianate architectonics with its elegantly simplistic hotel facade, the hotel main building provided a perfect compliment to the 20 meter light tower done in surprising detail very faithful to naval architecture specifications. It's exclusive location hidden in the midst of the busy Waterfront Road makes it the ultimate haven of retreat. The Lighthouse was established back in 2007 to provide transient residence to executives of business locators of the Subic free port zone; and for tourists who frequent the port more for its sailing and eco-tourism than its business.

I love this place. We were having trouble booking a place for the long weekend / Independence day holiday because we planned only days before. Luckily, Lighthouse Marina called back to let us know that they'll be able to accommodate all seven of us (two rooms). Our rooms were in the third floor, one kind of had a view and the other didn't but it was bigger. The rooms were really nice, I loved the colour of the wall and the bathroom is super clean. A lot of people mentioned getting a bay side view but it really didn't matter to me because the room was relaxing and the staff was super duper accommodating. They also never fail to smile! I also loved how the hotel was taking "green steps" like how they had alternative trash bags instead of the usual plastic ones, refillable soap and lotion dispensers instead of the ones in plastic. It made me appreciate them even more. Another is the complimentary nightcap, they really make you feel welcome. Lastly, we enjoyed the nightly band. They were great and super friendly! (June 13, 2015) The only con was that my mixed drinks from the bar took a bit of time but that's it. Looking forward to going back and I hope their service and facilities continue to be excellent. :) Stayed June 2015, travelled with family

The hotel has a good location. close to other hotels, convenience store, and close to harbor point mall. We booked 2 adjoining rooms with 1 king size bed and 2 single beds on the other room FOR 2 NIGHT and room size were goods. Very nice bathroom with shower and bathtub. it even has a see through window with pull down shade from the bed to the bathroom. One drawback for that is in the evening, you can see the person inside the bathroom even if the shade is down. I traveled with friends so it is awkward. We had to turn off the light to avoid being seen inside the bathroom. Buffet breakfast was average to good. They even serve coffee or hot chocolate i think from 5pm-7pm. Overall hotel was very good!
