Why The Hanoi Social Club is special ?
Hanoi Social Club is a little outpost of Melbourne cafe scene in a stunning French Colonial villa in downtown Hanoi. It brings a unique menu of salads, sandwiches, wraps, pastas juices and other fresh flavours. Their chefs are proud graduates of the KOTO and Hoa Sua hospitality schools for disadvantaged youth. KOTO program is run in conjunction with a Melbourne vocational college which provides them with a full internationally recognised chef qualification. Hanoi Social Club is a place for peaceful souls to join together, to delight your taste buds, to pour tea, cloudgazer, watch, think, and create.
Must try dishes:
Lentil pasta
Mango curry with brown rice and roast pumpkin salad
Cafe trung (fabulous egg coffee)
Viet fries made with bamboo shoots

How to get to The Hanoi Social Club?
There is no realistic option for public transport to this cafe from the Old Quarter. However, you can catch a taxi or xe om (motorbike taxi) from just about anywhere in the old quarter and be here in about 5 minutes. Should cost about 30,000 to 40,000 dong.

Reviews
Great vibe. Cozy, good wifi, power plugs if you need to work. Food is great as well. Pricier than the competition but worth it.
We checked out this cute place for breakfast as it was recommended online and it won't disappoint. They have a great range of breakfast dishes which were all delicious. We all had different dishes and I would have happily eaten any of the dishes. They had a good range of lunches and drinks. They hold acoustic nights and seem to have lots of different events on. They also had good wifi. I would go back next time I'm in Hanoi.
