According to our guide Suasta the Tanah Lot temple is one of the most beautiful temple in Bali. He is absolutely right about as it is indeed very beautiful..We visited in the morning around 10 am and it was not crowded.. we first went to the batu bolong temple which means a cliff with a hole.. which is on the extreme right side and there is a cliff in the center from which you can view the tanlot temple to your left and batu bolong to your right.. it was a high tide period so could not visit temple but the wave splashing against the temple rising around 15 feet high was a sight to remember

at low tide one can walk across the water to the Temple, but only local Balinese are allowed to enter...It is a fantastic place to watch the sunset so give yourself plenty of time to get there as traffic is horrific!

Must visit at sunset time. Makes sense to reach a little early so as not to avoid the best moments. Be careful of the shop keepers as they can get quite insistent if they feel you are even slightly interested.
