We dined here with a local couple, at their suggestion, and were not disappointed. I love Vietnam, but I'm not a big fan of Vietnamese food (I know, right?). Growing up in Boston, I became an aficionado of clam chowder, and I always try the chowder in any restaurant that claims to have a good one. Skewers has a good one. A little light on the clams and little heavy on the vegetal overtones, but very good, overall. I had the filet mignon, which was larger than the US standard, these days. Probably about 12 oz., though I'm sure they measured it in grams. Perfectly cooked (medium rare, of course), juicy and tender. I'm only allowed two steaks per year. I'm glad this was one of them. Prices were moderate, by US standards, high by VN standards.

The best place in Saigon for Mediterranean food. Salmon and lamb is pretty awesome. Try spinach ravioli. A bit expensive but worth the money.
