Why Sentosa Merlion is special ?
When you step inside the Merlion – an enduring icon of Singapore that's half-lion and half-fish – you'll be transported to the depths of the ocean to meet legendary sea dragons and mythical mermaids. Re-live the origins of the Merlion in a captivating animated feature and visit the Mercubs to discover what fortune has in store for you. Climb to the crown and you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular 360o view of Sentosa, including Singapore's southern shores and a glimpse of the dazzling city skyline. Back on the ground, take an amble along the Merlion Walk, a 120-metre-long Gaudi-inspired mosaic walkway.

Tips for you
Before going up, you watch a charming animated short abit the history of Singapore and the Merlion. Afterwards, everyone receives a souvenir coin (a nice memento for the day!). Lastly, you travel up in an elevator where you get a 360 view from on top of the lion head and a bay view from mouth. A professional photographer is available, if you have money to throw around. Once you're done, you take the elevator back down.Things to do
This attraction is free and just in front of the Imbiah station( for the sentosa express train) . If you want to go on top of the merlion you will need to pay a fee. We did not go to the top but took out a few pics. Nice to spend some time here. You can click a lot of pics here.there is also a 24 X 7 just in front of the merlion and KFC joint for hungry people!!!
You need not pay seprately to vosot this attraction...when you get down at imbiah stop of sentosa express & as you come out you will see merlion statue & a small fountain in front of it...click as many photos as you want... really no specific fun in going all the way up by buying a ticket,...if you already have a fun pass for sentosa then its Ok...else you can consider just walking around this merlion statue & clik photos ... try 7 check out resort world or madam tussad's museum instrad by using your dollars rightly..
This was a busy attraction! Lots of people walking around and taking photos. This Merlion is the biggest in Singapore, I fell really small nest to it. you can go to the top if you pay an entrance fee. A few places around to explore too. Worth a visit.
with the hype surrounding merlion in Singapore ,once you visit there after the initial awe it gets bit boring ,the problem with sentosa is that everything is charged .the lift to the top of merlion is charged .the area surrounding this place is like a waterfall and garden .its a average place but do visit
