Reviews
Located in a little known muslim community obscured by the Khaosan Rd and Thai student scene, the halal muslim family-run restaurant has roots going back to India. Roti mataba, a meat filled roti, is a stable found in all of Bangkok's muslim communities. This restaurant also serves othe Thai and Indian curries. Come taste a piece of history.
A short stroll from Khao san Rd, this place can get busy, so you may have to wait if you want a table on the street. We sat inside, where we watched a lady make rotis as we waited for our food. Five minutes later we were devouring our chicken roti and southern beef curry. Portions are small, but cheap. I like this as you get to try more. So we did. Now for a fish roti and green chicken curry. Yum! Would have stayed for round three but had plans to meet someone. Two curries, two rotis and two waters came to less than AUD10.00. (approx. 250Baht). I can't wait to dine here again. Next time I must try some of the sweet rotis.
