Why Ratchada Train Night Market is special ?
The Train Night Market Ratchada got its name from the original Rod Fai night market located next to the train tracks on the outskirts of Bangkok. This branch in Ratchada is split into long avenues with antiques, secondhand toys, and kitsch curios found in the central few avenues. The Market includes a great mix of food, vintage shopping, beauty products, haircuts, hats, t-shirts, toys, and many, many other items.
How to get to Ratchada Train Night Market?
The Train Night Market Ratchada is only a two-minute walk from the MRT at Thai Cultural Center behind the Esplanade Shopping Mall. You can also take a taxi to get there.
- Compact and easy to walk
- A lot of good quality cheap cloths, foods and many more
- Food, drink, music and shopping all in one
- Definitely worth a visit for all the amazing food
- A night market for the young adults

Tips for you
Talad Rot Fai was a bit too far from our hotel so we decided to check this one out instead. It was so fun! The place was buzzing with energy and this was no surprise considering that it was bubbling with teens and young adults. This market is cool to the brim. It consists of the food side (tons of food. There are also halal stalls for the Muslims. Yeay! ) and the side where all the shopping takes place. Surrounding these stalls are pubs for people to chill and check out the crowd and perhaps the nice scooters too. How to get there: 1. Take the train to Thailand Cultural Centre Metro Station. 2. Take Exit 3 3. Follow the crowd. Most of them walk through the mall and exit the parking at the back. What can you find there (at least the ones that caught my eye or have a number of stalls selling similar products) : 1. T-shirts, dresses, jeans etc etc 2. All kinds of shoes 3. Make up and even rows and rows of colored contact lenses. 4. Unique phone covers and phone accessories. 5. Tattoo Artists, Piercing Artists, Barbers, Manicurists all ready to serve you. 6. Cacti 7. Vintage products
Very good place to experience thai food and culture, if you are tourist and live near here, must come to visit. I recommend seafood BBQ and curry/ fried chicken/noodles/fried fish. Monday market close.
