Why Quan Chay Dam is special ?

Quan Chay Dam - Co Dam is a family-run eatery where you choose from many veggies and soy meats dishes, rice, and noodle soup. This restaurant is situated in a small alley where between Le Loi and Hai Ba Trung so you have to look for it. Food is served during limited hours, so better get there on time. Limited English, but freshly cooked and very nice, really nice mix of vegetables such as spinach, roasted eggplant, spicy bamboo, okra and lots of tasty mock meats like chicken fish and tofu, you also get a soup on the side!

Tips for you

  • There are two eating options; order from the tiny menu (4 items: fried rice, quang noodle, spring rolls, cau lau), or pick and choose from the buffet bar.
  • To find the place, turn left off Hai Ba Trung on to Tran Hung Dao and it's the first small alleyway on your right.

We ate here every day during our stay in Hoi An as we loved the food. I really enjoy the buffet style where you get a plate of rice then top it up with all the tasty looking things in trays in front of you, then you have the joy of figuring out just how they've managed to make everything so delicious while eating it! The mock pork cracking is unbelievable and the stuffed zucchini was delicious. It's unpretentious, local food so don't expect any frills but you can't go wrong who such cheap prices and a huge array of choice. Ignore the pin on trip advisor and turn left off Hai Ba Trung on to Tran Hung Dao and it's the first small alleyway on your right.

This place is awesome. You can choose to fill up your plate from their buffet area or they have several dishes you can choose from- all very affordable! I spent just 1 dollar to have a full plate of delicious vietnamese vegan food and they even brought me a veggie pho that I didn't realize was included. For sure, one of my favorite items was their coconut "rib". I don't know how they do it, but they transform tofu and other veggies into the best mock-meat I have ever tried!
