Visited this mall on a Saturday afternoon and after hearing much about it on the Internet, I was rather disappointed by what I saw. Many shops were closed, and it felt somewhat dead, with human activity concentrated on the first two floors of the mall. Most of the things sold in the shops are pretty low quality and not totally affordable. This mall feels somewhat overshadowed by its brand spanking new sibling, 1st Avenue, which has recently opened next to it, and has many more people, with better shops and a more updated look.

Generic mall with cheap Chinese made clothings, kind of reminded me of Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur. Shopping was easy on the purse, it caters to your every need; pharmacies, money changer, IT shops, hair salons, boutiques and what have you. I could wander around aimlessly for hours. For those looking for affordable hair salon services, jump up to Level 3 Kimage Salon. I had my hair straightened (Rebonding) and treated by friendly stylists who knew what they were doing. It would definitely be my regular salon if I were to live in Penang!
