Why Phra Nang Beach is special ?
Phra Nang is arguably the finest beach in Thailand, if not southeast Asia. A broad strip of white sand with massive cliffs framing each end of the beach, Phra Nang has just enough facilities: roast chicken and salad lunches cooked on the beach, massage ladies and people inconspicuously selling cold drinks. It still thankfully lacks all the things that spoil a beach: pollution, traffic, noise, over-enthusiastic hawkers, jet-skis and lager louts.
Watch the climbers climb right off the beach. Have a massage, eat a delicious barbeque and salad lunch, maybe cliff-jump off the rocks into the water. It's a great place to spend a lazy or not-so-lazy day.

What to explore at Phra Nang Beach?
Due to its central location in the Andaman Sea and to its fabulous topography and sporting opportunities, Ao Nang is, at the moment, arguably Thailand’s best all-round beach destination. It is predominately a family and sports destination. Whilst it lacks wild nightlife and young party travellers will bore quickly, it does have a few relaxed bars and two nightclubs.
Many beach destinations get ruined when over-development and over-population result in an unsupportable excess of pollutants. But somewhere along the way there is an optimal state, where there are enough facilities, but a still ecologicaly-sustainable tourist population. Ao Nang is now at this stage and represents, for many people, an ideal compromise between a pristine but boring destination and a fun but polluted one.

How to get to Phra Nang Beach?
Phra Nang is part of the Railay Pensinsula. To get there from Ao Nang, just jump on a longtail boat.
From Ao Nang the journey is around 15 minutes (100 baht) and boats arrive either on West Railay Beach or on Phranang Beach.he journey takes 20 minutes and costs THB 80 per head.

Reviews
This is the beach to go to when in Ao Nang or Krabi. Great views to the sides, back and front of the beach. Nice water. Best place to enter with less coral parts or stones is directly in front of the island. Plenty of shade for coolness. Not too crowded, especially the northern part away from the cave, but money stones in the water there. The cave is OK when you are already here, but not much more. At low tide you can wade to the island in front of the beach. After rainy days the rocks on this island and the rocks near the cave give as a bonus fresh water showers. Highly recommended.
It was raining the whole morning. Nevertheless, once the rain stops, everyone is out on the beach to enjoy the view. Beautiful view and weather!
Ive been there in low season. Not so crowded beach. But again low season. If you are in ao nang. Cant miss this place. 100% recommended. Dont go there with a tour. For only 100 bth you can go there with the public long tail boat.
