Why Phare Cambodian Circus is special ?
The Phare Cambodian Circus is a local circus and different branches are found all over Cambodia. The organization that runs the circus trains up disadvantaged locals in circus tricks and other disciplines (including art, drama and music) and all money goes towards helping them and others with more education and employment choices.
Experience one of the highlights of Cambodia and meet talented young performers in breathtakingly entertaining and original Cambodian shows.
Phare, The Cambodian Circus tells uniquely Cambodian tales using modern circus arts and high energy music, touching on themes strong in Cambodian tradition, ethos and spirit. The performances mix theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, juggling, aerial acts, fire and contortion with an explosion of virtuosity and sensitivity. During the hour-long shows, the Phare performers share their emotions and excitement, blowing the audience away with their integrity and power.

Tips for you

All the excellent reviews got me intrigued aboutvthis unique circus so I booked a $35 ticket for my first evening there. The higher priced ticket gets you your own fixed seat within the front 2 rows, no need to queue and hope for a good seat, its guaranteed. You also get a bag of popcorn, mineral water and a token gift. The people behind me were saying how expensive they thought it was as they had only paid $18 before tge show started but I didnt really mind as it is a social enterprise with a good cause behind it. And after the show I thought the money spent had been well worth. It was a stand out performance and very evident that the performers had spent hours and hours training to put on the show they had. The full house tent and great reviews here speak for themselves. I found it very very entertaining and very very worth the value for money..do it one of the nights your there, you wont regret it!
