Why Palawan Museum is special ?

The Palawan Museum is headed by no other group than the Natural Historical Foundation of Palawan and they are committed to showcase the beauty of Palawans history, arts, culture, crafts and music. The history of the Palawan Museum dates back to a little over a decade ago when tourism picked up on the island. Puerto Princesa City as the seat of government of Palawan felt that aside from its pristine beaches, travelers should also learn about the rich culture of Palawan and hence started a collection of artifacts found on the island. Their collection expanded from just artifacts to a comprehensive library and it was funded partly by government funds and donations.

Dusty and poor lighting and ventilation as well. The front desk will just let you roam around. Artifacts were not strategically displayed making it more and more boring as you roam around.

The place gives a good idea of the history of the area. However, there are no guides, no signages even in the area. It's small, but well-kept. No visible signs of dust, but quite warm to visit since it is not air-conditioned.
