Why Oro 1889 is special ?

The service here is among the best in the city. You're served by the wife of the husband-and-wife team and she's charming and obviously knows her stuff. The whole dining experience is very pleasant - both like eating in a home but also very professional. It's basically a polished night out. A great date place.

The menu, for mains, has basically one thing on it - tasty Neopolitan pizza. Some of the pizzas seem simple but you get that classic punch that Italians manage to wrest from a few ingredients. Their base of bread, tomato sauce and cheese is - even on its own - really tasty. Add in topping like salami, pancetta bacon, anchovies or even just basil and you've got all winners.

Blown away by the ambience and hospitable service, the brushetta was a treat to the taste buds, the calzone was fluffy, cheesy and flavorful and the tiramisu heavenly and just the right degree of sweet.
