Why O'ngo Food Communications - Food Tours is special ?
Since 2008, O’ngo Food Communications has been promoting Korean Food and Culture in the form of books, research, consulting and video productions. In 2010, O’ngo Food Communications decided to take this a step further and started cooking classes and food tours for travelers to Korea. By having knowledgable guides and teachers that are passionate about food and customer service, our company has grown to become one of the top cooking classes and tour companies in Korea. In our short history, we have done events for corporate clients such as Yahoo!, Danon, Hyundai, MARS SEA, Yale School of Management, YPO, and many more. We have expanded to handle out-of-city tours, multi-day tours, family tours, and events. We pride on giving our guests a top level experience.

My wife and I did an evening food tour with Jen. We went to 4 locations and tried some BBQ beef, Royal Toppaki (?), BBQ'd Mackrel, and a shaved ice tea concoction. Spending the evening with Jen was sorta like we went to Seoul to meet some friends and they were hung up with previous plans so they sent their Korean son to show us around. We had good conversation and since no one else signed up for the tour, we had Jen to ourselves and learned so much about Korean culture. We did have some communication problems beforehand while trying to sign up for the tour, and I asked for no fish and one of our three stops was BBQ'd Mackerel, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
After having read about this tripadvisor we decided to go for it. Our guide for this trip was T. He showed us 4 different Korean restaurants, which all gave us an insight into traditional Korean life. T was a very funny and informative guide, who we would recommend any day. Very much appreciate the experience, can highly recommend the night dinning tour for any one.
I had a blast hanging out with Daniel(hey Dan! It's Christine!) on the Ultimate Food tour in Seoul and in Jeonju earlier this month. He was flexible with my erratic schedule and incredibly generous with his knowledge of the people, country, culture, etc. There was no way I would have been able to visit as many places(delicious ones at that) as easily as I did with Dan had I tried to on my own. I only wish I had the time and stomach space to do more tours; I highly highly recommend O'ngo to anyone coming to Korea whether they are a newbie to the country or a frequent visitor.
We consider ourselves very skilled travelers, and finding the best food is our skill. We were going to skip the food tour, but some friends convinced us to join them. This was one of our top experiences in Korea and "T" was a great guide. We ate at places we would have never found on our own and learned unique items about the culture. "T" even helped us out with a few touristy questions over email the day after the tour. Great food, even better service. We plan to try each tour they offer when we return.
