Why O'malleys Irish Pub is special ?
O’malleys is an Irish style pub in Hoi An town, serving a range of cold beer selections including Guinness, with pool tables, Foosball, dart boards and big screens televising international sports. Walking around Hoi An is thirsty work, day or night while the women shop 'til they drop... We happened across O'Malleys as we got to the last of the last of the shipping area Bright and cheerful on the outside with a lovely seating area, it transforms on the inside to a really good effort at an Irish bar... TV screens showing sports and a fine pool table greet you when you walk in the door and it is fantastically furnished We were greeted immediately by friendly staff and though English was a small bit off, they tried real hard and were very diligent and pleasant The menu for food is very biased to western food (that's why we went in I guess so it does exactly what it says on the tin!) so you have a nice selection of pizza, burger etc but I had the outstanding bangers and mash while the missus tackled a really good calzone - the food was excellent The bill is a little pricier versus other establishments in Hoi An at ~US$40 for the above with a couple of drinks but still a good deal! Try it, it's a real nice joint!
After traveling in Asia for some times and sampling some great Asian food we felt like an evening of good western food. O'Malleys was just perfect! The ideal place to meet friends watch some sport on TV and enjoy excellent food and drinks. The ideal location makes it my choice for a relaxed meal.
