Why Nopparat Thara Beach is special ?

Nopparat Thara Beach is an excellent beach if you prefer to have natural shade provided by the trees. The beach was formerly known as ‘Khlong Haeng Beach,’ which means a dried-canal beach in Thai. It's also possible at low tide to walk from the beach across to Koh Kao Pak Klong Island in the bay. Nopparat certainly offers better value for money if you take proximity to a beach as the measure.

How to get to Nopparat Thara Beach?

Nopparat Thara is located around 20 km from Krabi Town and 25 km from the airport. It is about 2 minutes drive from Ao Nang. A tuk tuk from Ao Nang costs about 40 baht to get to the beach.

A long way beach opposing andaman sea. The low tide stretch miles of the beach. Along the shoreline you could get seafood, bars and all sort of light entertainment.

The beach is huge - about 5 km long - and a great alternative to the crowds at Ao Nang. It has a very gentle slope, so note that during low tide the water goes out quite a ways because of this.
