Why Nha Trang Beach is special ?
The 6km-long (4 miles) sandy beach, fringed by palms and casuarina trees, is one of the best in Vietnam with clean water, making it a perfect place for swimming. Visitors can rent a sunbed and vendors regularly pass by selling soft drinks and fresh fruit. The offshore islands and coral reefs are ideal for snorkelling and scuba-diving and watersports centres rent out windsurfers.
The best time to visit Nha Trang beaches is of course from January to early October. However, it is important to note that temperature will peak up in August while infrequent typhoons may hit the south central coast from June to October, so be on top of weather forecast for these months.
Nha Trang wind is generally not strong enough for windsurfing, with the exception of Doc Let beach (35 km north of Nha Trang), which is usually reserved for expert surfers. The least windy months of the year are April, May and June.

Tips for you
We were so excited to go Nha Tranh because everyone boasts about the beaches and the relaxing atmosphere but no one ever mentioned how many Russians were there. Every sign had Russian translation and even Russian speaking Vietnamese people. The ratio is 80% Russians 15% Locals and 5% lost people. And since its full of Russians, everything in Nha Trang is ridiculously overpriced. Not a big deal but I wish someone had wrote a review about it so we knew what to expect. Your welcome
