Tips for you
Choice of pizza, hot dog or soup for a relaxing lunch. Lovely staff, better lunch spot than Fujiya Hotel, their menu is curry or spaghetti for lunch.
We were walking to our hotel, The Fujiya, from the train station. About 3 minutes later, we saw this cute café, on the right side of the road...going downhill. We stopped and got a drink. Then, we saw the sign...FREE FOOTBATH. You take off your shoes and go up to the large tub...they have mats you can put down before you sit, if you want. They have it set up so you can drink...or even eat at the tub! How clever! 2 long benches and a long table in the center. It really did the business too. Oh, and the hot spring water was heaven after a long day of sightseeing. Everyone there was having a grand time, talking to one another about where they were from, etc. Most folks stayed a half hour to one hour or so. Folks from around the world! The next day, we came back and had a pizza there, inside the café, and it was really good...and very fair priced. Wine was only like $4.00US a glass too. The place has a lot of charm and they have Wi-Fi free too. Service was good with a lot of smiles! Nice view of the mountains. We really enjoyed our time(s) here and I know you will too. All good.
