The only 24-hour shopping centre in Singapore: It is the story of a very big shopping centre opening 24 hours per day and 365 days per year, not the story of common 24/7 convenient stores. While hundreds of Singapore shopping centres sleep at night, Mustafa Centre opens to cater for late night shoppers and that is one of the reasons people love it.

Mustafa Centre is super dingy, but it is also massive. Pretty much anything you want you could find here and it's conveniently open 24hrs.

There is almost everything you need at this mall. Best place to buy jewelry, gold. Just a little messy. The least favorite that need to be improved is the staff. Unhelpful. Other than that, is pretty okay.

Think of a place where you can find everything under one roof and make that place be open all the time 24x7. That's Mustafa Centre for you. Located in the Little India neighborhood, this "mall" or rather a series of densely packed shops, has everything ranging from cosmetics to clothes to accessories. You will find your original $100 Nikes as well as your $20 [insert name of unknown cheap brand here], all carelessly strewn over each other. Basically, Mustafa Centre is like Walmart except that it's 10 walmarts stuffed into a space for 1. The tight spaces coupled with hordes of shoppers can make you a bit claustrophobic at the start, but the key thing is to pick up a shopping basket, snake through those crowded alley-ways and drop whatever stuff catches your fancy into your basket. The place has multiple entrances, multiple billing counters, and is an epitome of disorganized chaos. But that chaos comes as a breath of fresh air for someone who's become bored with the mundane organization of American strip malls. Pro-tip : Tourists can waive sales tax on the goods purchased (GST) by getting a waiver receipt from the 2nd basement at Mustafa Center. Just take your receipt and your passport, they will tell you whether you are eligible for a GST refund. If you are, they will give you a validated receipt, which you can provide at the airport before you leave Singapore along with the items that you purchased and they will give you back a refund.

Mustafa is the most amazing shopping experience. Think of it as a combination of Harrods and the 99p store. Amazing choice in a very cluttered environment. It is hard to think if things that you cannot buy from here. Great for gifts and souvenirs from Singapore but also for clothes, luggage, toiletries and food. There is a also a very competitive money changer on the ground floor. Well worth a visit.
