Why Mr Kiet's Historic House is special ?
Mr. Kiet's Historic House is one of the solid old house, which were built before the French colony period and were still preserved until now in Cai Be. With the old architecture typical in the region and many antiquities, the old house reflects lively the everyday life and old architecture of upper class at that time.
Mr. Kiet's Historic House is still a great place to sit and have lunch. Definitely developed more recently with the tourist in mind it still has much of the old to see. The food is excellent quality local food, and they happily cater for your vegetarian needs as well as the special fish dishes for the rest of your family.

Reviews
This is one of several Ancient Houses around Cai Be. We ride there on our bicycles from our hotel on the Mekong River. We suprised the staff as we had just dropped in, rather than being taken there by a tour guide. We ate the set menu (at 150,000 vnd each). It was so nice, and the portions were generous. The highlight was the grilled elephant ear fish. One of the staffs sons approached us to talk and practice his english (as he wants to work in tourism).A lovely way to spend some time having great food and getting a little off the beaten tourist track.

All in all a good place to visit if you have made it to Cai Be on a river visit.
