Why Mido Cafe is special ?
Mido Cafe started operation back in the 1950s and is one of the oldest cafes in Hong Kong. This old school cafe is a landmark at Temple Street and was featured in various Hong Kong movies and serial like Goodbye Mr Cool and Revolving Door of Vengeance
The 1950s interior design was retained till date and the nostalgic design offers a glimpse of Hong Kong’s past when air conditioning is a luxury and food menus were hand-written. Unlike the modern cafes that pushes seating capacity to the limit within a small floor area, Mido Cafe is contrastingly spacious.
Must try dishes :
Milk Tea (nai cha)
Pineapple Bun
French Toast
Fried Noodles with Pork
Pork Chop Baked Rice

Visited this restaurant during my visit. My hotel is just walking distance to here. Came here in morning, first batch of customer here, so the service is fast. Ordered their famous food from their menu. Tasted their drinks, hmm, yummy. I like their Polo bun here, fresh from the oven, it's crunchy outside and soft inside. Tasty. This shop was used for drama/movie shooting before, you might seen this on tv. Nearby/opposite is a small resting area where the local forks spend their morning time there, practise tai-chi, chess, chatting, and rest. Highly recommend.
Quaint little Hong Kong diner. Popular with tourists so there's an English menu. The baked spare rob with tomato sauce ($58) is really delicious!
