The place Mee Ton Poe is a no-nonsense restaurant. We found it as it's just across from where we did coffee. It's based on Chinese cuisine from Hokkian province ad's it was very good taste. We had three main courses, two juices and two bottles of water. The juices/ shakes were fresh and nice. It all came up to a total of 310 Bath. Good pricing for good food. It's a plus that is a non smoking environment, even though all sides are open and with good airing. Beware the chili on the table. It's delicious, but strong

We stumbled upon this tiny, unassuming restaurant near Surin Circle while exploring Phuket town. We ordered fish in banana leaves, satay, red and green Thai curry along with ice tea. The food didn't disappoint us at all. In fact, all the dishes were delicious. The restaurant offers great value for money. It is clean and has a seating capacity of about 30 people. Mee Ton Poe gave us an experience of authentic Thai cuisine. We quite liked it, especially the fish in Banana leaves done with mustard, so ordered a takeaway subsequently, which the restaurant staff nicely packed for us.

I went to this restaurant 4 times during my 5 day stay in Phuket, that's how good it was! The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. I would like to say I found this restaurant all on my own but my girlfriend and I were taken there by friends who live in Phuket. Every time we went I had something different and every time it was fantastic. The menu has picture of all their food making it easier to try something different. The price of the food is also extremely reasonable, about 50-100 baht per meal
