Why Mayas is special ?
Maya's Filipino and Mexican Cuisine is a restaurant in Boracay Island. As its name suggests, Maya's serves both Filipino and Mexican cuisines. The real draw of Maya’s is the location at the less-crowded end of White Beach and the decor. Maya's Filipino and Mexican Cuisine attached to a guesthouse called Jony’s Beach House, located on the beachfront of White Beach's Station 1, is simple and clean, raised slightly and set back from the sand. You can get the beach breeze and calm atmosphere without passing tourists kicking sand on you. Maya's Filipino food specialty includes lechon kawali, said to be the best on the island.
Must try dishes :
Crispy pork binagoongan
Roast beef kare-kare
Escabeche and callo

Reviews
We were walking along the White Beach towards station 1 when we found this restaurant. It had tables outside on the sand and a nice upper floor. The food they serve is mexican and philipino-food. We tried some local dishes and then burritos. The food they serve is extraordinary! Especially the local dishes were always amazing. We tried fresh fishplatters, ceviches and chicken. The food is tasty, you will not regret trying the local specialties. We liked this restaurant so much that we ended up coming back twice. The prices are very good, one of the cheapest happy hours we found on white beach too!
From the menu you can find quite a lot of local choices, including the Mayas' Lechon Kawali. It's deep fried pork belly ? in which made to perfect, extremely crispy on outlay and juicy inside, perfect.
