Why Martini Pub is special ?
Martini pub is centrally located, affordable and features a movie screen. This bar and disco is unique and its fame has spread internationally. Dance it up with the hoards of local girls inside, drink outside at the tables in front of the huge movie screen (showing everything from latest releases to Chinese kung fu action), or sample the offerings of the many outdoor food kiosks. Cheap beers and spirits make for an affordable evening. This perpetual party atmosphere is the one place in town you can be assured of a crowd any night of the week.

How to get to Martini Pub?
The best way to visit the bar is by taxi. It always pays off when in Phnom Penh to contract a Tuk-Tuk driver for then entire day and have him wait for you. It's MUCH less hassle to hire a Tuk-Tuk driver with serviceable English for 15 to 25 US$ a day than to haggle every time, late at night even short hops will go at no less than 5-10 US$ for foreigners.

Tips for you
The Martini Bar is off Mao Zedong Blvd is a mostly residential area. There's a large inksyard with trees and a movie screen and tables and a long bar, plus three pool tables. Expats go there as well as frequent visitors to Phnom Penh - you will always meet interesting people. They have a good selection of food which is of average quality, but fresh - so if you need to lay a foundation for some more beers, that's no issue. The Martini Bar has an disco which late at night - mostly Friday and Saturday - can be sizzling with action and people. It however seems that with all these new rip-off-bars on 136th street the place is less crowded than a few years before. Barkeepers are extremely attentive and friendly and speak an uncommonly good English. They often have live music and if you would like to hook up with someone, this is definitely one of the places to go. I have been to the Martini pub at countless occasions since 2002, and I always had a real good time. Downside: One tends to forget time there...hours seem to pass like minutes. Beware: Try to avoid having to find a mototaxi or Tuk-Tuk late at night on your way back to the hotel. I do not recommend mototaxis at all for saftey reasons.
