Reviews
The good: the boat seemed safe, the view of the city and areas along the bay were beautiful, and the staff was nice. The not so good:Wine and beer only at an extra chargeLong time in the bay - everyone was ready to get off after an hourLive music - a bit pitchy dog... (we were wanting to enjoy the sites but got the audience participation variety hour)The bad:This was a dinner cruise. You want your dinner to shine rather than be the gelantenous globs of 'food' that was served buffet style. Yummy! Can I have another laddle of the brown stuff with some of that green oily stuff on top?If you go, eat somewhere else first and just enjoy the view with a San Miguel.
Well having read previous reviews I was a little dubious about taking this cruise but we must have got them on a good day. My fiancĂŠ and I went on the first evening cruise on the Saturday evening and had the all you can eat buffet. Maybe because I booked online two weeks before, we were lucky and got a table on the lower deck of the boat so we had a table where the food was (the people on the upper deck had to come down to the lower deck, get their food and carry back up to the upper deck). The food was nice enough and I even ate the fish, which I don't normally eat. We had two servings of the food. The fireworks were great and city lights were nice too. The bay did not smell at all. They had a young couple on the upper deck playing and singing music the whole time and they were very good. We went to the upper deck for the last 20 minutes and it was really nice. The staff were great and took pictures for us. Apart from one cock roach we seen crawling on the wall it was a great evening out. Finding a taxi was a bit of a hassle after we returned but got one eventually. So all in all we enjoyed it and from what I can tell everyone else did too. My tip is to book and pay online a couple of weeks before hand and go on the first cruise in the evening and you should have a great time.
We had a wonderful cruise with you. Our tour guide (hailing from La Union) was very informative and knowledgeable, patient and pleasant. It was such a pleasure to have him.The light and sound at Malinta tunnel was very good.Lunch was pleasant and not rushedThe only bothering issues was the other tour guide named "steve" who claimed Malinta tunnel was the only tunnel on the island. He was unaware of the 400 or so other tunnel systems on Corregidor and it's sister islands. Apparently he has 'researched over 40 years and lived there for 6 years. He even got into a discussion regarding the local alcoholic beverages. Perhaps he could go back to school for a history lesson and Philippine culture. I am sure most of us were aware of the misinformation that was dished out by this particular person but were too polite to argue.wonderful service but There may be difficulties if mr 'steve's misinformation is permitted to continue.
Had experienced this type of cruise @ sun cruises philippines.. I decided to took the afternoon cruise for a better sunset view... Food was ok... Best experience is when we saw the panoramic view of the city from a far while boarding , not to mention the cool breeze of air upon sailing :D It was a great feeling indeed most specially upon seeing that the sun is about to set and you really can't explain that type of emotion when it seems that all colors are joining together upon seeing the sunset
