Why Mak's Noodle (Mak Un Kee) is special ?
Mak's Noodle House, or Mak Un Kee, is a traditional Cantonese restaurant in Central, Hong Kong, specialising in wonton noodles. Mak’s history plays a very big part in its reputation, run by direct descendants of Mak Woon-chi, the ‘wonton master’ who brought the dish from Guangzhou to Hong Kong.
Dating back to the 1960s, the business is now in the run by Mak Chi-ming, a third-generation descendant of Mak Woon-chi (麥煥池) who once served the dish to the President of the Republic of China Chiang Kai-shek. It is claimed that the recipe has remained unchanged since Mak's grandfather's time.
Today, aside from the main location on Wellington Street in Central, Mak’s has four other branches around Hong Kong.

Reviews
If you are foreigner visiting HK, the wanton noodle is a must try. It is not like any of those in US, Australia, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, or parts of Asia. The noodle is well prepared with the right feeling (hard/soft, thickness etc). The soup is also very original. The wanton is simply nice. All properly done in this restaurant. Although more expensive than the one in the streets in HK, you still get the value (you are in the Peak).
My gosh, the real yum is the prawn roe dried noodle's SOUP and their signature wanton! Doubt it is in their menu. order separately and enjoy!
