All of Madame Tussauds’ life-size wax figures are exquisitely made and appear as if they might start moving at any moment. Being chosen as a model is said to be a sign of global status.

From Prince William to President Barack Obama, to Elvis Presley, to Michael Jackson, more than 60 life-size figures of world leaders, celebrities, music stars, and other TV and news personalities are all on display. Don’t miss the chance to take a two shot with your favorite star!

What to explore at Madame Tussauds Tokyo?

In 2013, Tokyo got a wax wonderland of its own, as Tussauds opened its first Japanese outpost in the Decks Tokyo Beach mall in Odaiba. Visitors can have their picture taken with a range of lifelike figures, with homegrown celebs including Yu Darvish, AKB48's Yuko Oshima and Ryuichi Sakamoto rubbing shoulders with everyone from Jacko to the Dalai Lama.

Not as big as London's museum. But worth giving a try. Go for "After 5 pm ticket". It's cheaper and can be bought online.

I didn't want to go this place because I had already been to the one in London twice and thought this one would be the same. I was wrong. And I'm glad my partner persuaded me to go. This Madame Tussauds is a lot smaller than the one in London, but was less busy and so we had more photo time. What I loved about this Madame Tussauds was how interactive it was. You could dress up as Michael Jackson, sit in the presidential office, be on TV with the Japanese Prime Minister, play virtual baseball, play virtual football using the Xbox Kinect and the list goes on. They perhaps should have more traditional Japanese figures and humanitarians, as I guess most of the models were of entertainers and sportspersons. On the whole I enjoyed myself and it was worth the visit.

My daughter loved this place more than my boys. It's great if you are stuck with nothing to do on a wet day. My kids prefer Lego Discovery centre any day as they are still young... 4 years and below. So they do not really understand or resonate with the wax characters apart from spiderman!
