We accidently stumbled into this restaurant as we wanted to go to Grandmother's restaurant nearby but the queue was very long. We had the pork chop which is delicious. Try the square bread with ice cream it is to die for. We saw every other table ordering the bread so we tried and it is so good. The service was good and the food comes very fast. Price was reasonable.
This restaurant is in a beautiful setting, right on a series of lily-pad filled ponds. When we were there, the service was super-friendly and helpful. There wasn't really anybody that spoke english, but there is a big picture menu right at the front as you go in, and you can grab the sheet you use to order and fill it out there. We had a bullfrog dish served on a hot iron or stone dish, pork barbeque, and a chicken dish of some sort. They were all incredible, though the frog was a little hard to eat, since the frog itself had just been chopped up into a bunch of pieces prior to cooking, so you have to eat the meat off the bones and joints and then spit them out. The place was pretty moderately priced as well. Three dishes, a beer, and a juice were about 140 yuan. All of that being said, trying to get a cab back to town was a miserable experience. Another reviewer mentioned a bicycle. That sounds like a nice idea. I'm not sure what to recommend, but for us, it was terrible, and it was at 4pm on a Tuesday. We kept getting refused by empty cabs, and it was never clear to us why. We did eventually manage to get picked up by a friendly driver right in front of the restaurant, but there was a lot of stress involved.
